Then I came across Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Mini Pro and Nokia N900. Just click on the links if you want to know their hardwares and stuff, and there are many reviews out there about them, so I'm not going to waste bandwidth to repeat what's been said. Anyway, X10 mini pro being very small, cute, light and Android while Nokia being big, heavy, very capable and Maemo. What really made me undecided was, I managed to get offers of both devices at a very attractive price (under RM900). After a few days and hundreds hours spent asking opinions, I've finally settled with X10 Mini Me Pro (RM6XX) **my heart screams WOOOOHOOO!!!

Boy! Mini Me is indeed very small! It fits IN my palm! I'm a small built guy but can you imagine a phone (not to mention Android phone, 5MP autofocus with LED lights, capacitive touch screen, keyboard (in your face iPon 4) and replaceable battery) smaller than my palm!? #awesomeness overflow
The first thing I got my phone (after switched it on duh!), is to find a place with free wifi (yea I'm a cheapskate, AND my Maxis couldn't connect to the network for unknown reason), so I ended up in San Francisco Coffee in Sunway Tower (former Wisma Denmark), and to visit my friend there. Oh, side-tracked... Anyway, Mini Me Pro is still using Android Donut(1.6), the updates are definitely coming soon, as their blog said, I'm guessing month of November, we will be able to unleash the real potential of Mini Me Pro with version 2.1. Android Market in Malaysia kinda sucks, if you don't root your phone, we can only see the free apps in the market. So, no Angry Birds, no Barr no nothing.
With the internal memories, I'm surprised to see no lags at all when handling multiple applications, games, music playing and web surfing, amazing little bugger. But battery life suffers significantly. Currently I can only manage to use it for 3/4 day of heavy usage before heading for the charger. But one great thing is, this phone charge off the USB port, and the cable is standard mini USB to USB cable. It's the cable for my external hardrive anyway, so I have one with me most of the time.
The screen is fantastic, even though it's only 65K colours (it's firmware limited to 65K, actual hardware is 16 millions); but under the sunlight, I can't see sheep. On the other note, whoever using phone/play games when you're walking under the sunlight, you should be burnt to death by the reflection coming from your screen you anti-social ignorant idiot!!! The camera colours are a little bit washout though, but you can always fix it with Android apps Photoshop Express.
***Ps: I've encountered a strange problem this morning, I couldn't end my call! I pressed/touched the end call button it keeps saying "Ending call" but it just stuck there, I looked at the timer goes from 50 secs to 1min 50 secs in horror! In the end I have to yank the battery out and restart again...
Okay, I admit I'm a bit against iPon, because there are so many people using it, and every time I see people (who don't own an iPon) borrowing iPon just to play Angry Bird my heart dies a little. I AM THAT MUCH OF A NONCOMFORMIST.
So, I have my first Android, what about you? (I had my iOS experience way back to the first generation of iPod Touch, so don't condemn me for comparing these 2 OSes and phones)
***PS: for couples/human beings who own iPhone/Android phones/any other phones, please put down your phones when you're dating/dinner/socializing, it's very disrespectful to your partner, friends or family members if you don't even understand the basic manners, not to mention I saw a couple in The Curve the other day, both were playing with their phones and no communication between 2 of them for at least half an hour (yes I love people watching) at all! DO you know how stupid you look!?
